Can you tell me more about SheerBliss® Ice Cream's history?

SheerBliss Ice Cream was formed in 2005 on the dreams of its three partners with the overall mission to offer the consumer the best ice cream possible. We developed flavor profiles new to the ice cream category and, for the first time in years, put some excitement on the palate of the consumer. With the emergence of pomegranate ice cream becoming a staple flavor enjoyed by all and the acceptance of “the can” by consumers, SheerBliss Ice Cream is proud to have been an innovator in the industry

 

What is Ultra Super Premium Ice Cream?

All consumers are familiar with “store brand” ice cream. For years, people enjoyed flavors offered there which have a specific density to the product. This measure is the amount of air contained in the ice cream (weighing approx 64-72 grams per half cup). Store brand products are commonly known as, Premium ice creams. Approximately 25-30 years ago, new products emerged on the scene with less air (approx 104-108 grams per half cup) and a smoother “mouth feel”, feeling more dense and creamier to the palate. These ice creams are known as Super Premiums.

When SheerBliss Ice Cream came to market, it focused on these qualities and improved upon each. SheerBliss has less air in its ice cream than all other brands (118 grams per half cup) causing a marvelous sensation to the palate and making it the creamiest and smoothest ice cream on the market today. To make the distinction between the different products offered, SheerBliss Ice Cream is an Ultra Super Premium product within the ice cream category.
